Story Grandia 2 takes us into a strange world in which magic and technology manage to coexist peacefully, where on the opposite side of the street of shops selling magic potions and medicinal roots is a factory with chadyaschimi trumpets blast furnaces. The protagonist of the whole saga - Ryudo, winner of the crazy hairdos, bad temper and bad manners, a bounty hunter and rapscallion from the guild "bodyguard for hire" - during the execution of the next job is witnessing the mysterious religious ritual. Many years ago in the world died down great battle between good and evil ( "Do all this time it was impossible to imagine a more suitable name than the battle between good and evil?" - Genuinely surprised our hero), and ritual released from prison the very evil - a dark god Volmar. The villain, naturally, dreams of revenge. It inhabits the body of a young priestess of Elena and her bodyguard, Ryudo forced to seek the way to an ancient temple, which the ministers will be able to drive Volmar.
